Responsibilities
Management of daily core operations within the Transfer Agent, financial intermediary support
Ensure the team completes assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with established policies and procedures
Ensure that all processes and procedures are currently and properly documented in accordance with established policy and applicable regulations. Focus should be on scalable and repeatable processes and procedures designed to mitigate operational risk. Adjust or redesign processes and procedures, as needed, to accommodate the changing environment
Provide daily coaching, support, guidance, and training for team members
Work directly with external service providers and multiple groups within Russell Investments to support a wide range of transfer agent services projects
Represent the team, as assigned, for projects that directly impact the support provided to internal business units, as well as external clients
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
10 years of experience inclusive of at least 5 years of experience within a transfer agent environment
At least 5 years of people management experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting or equivalent required
Leadership and management skills
Experience in an operational environment within the financial services industry, specifically in Transfer Agent Operations with increasing levels of responsibility
Demonstrated ability to lead a team to meet operational process deadlines within a small, high-paced team with multiple responsibilities
Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and lead others
Ability to communicate on behalf of Transfer Agent Services Management with service providers and internal stakeholders
Ability to evaluate and document policies, procedures, and internal controls
Track record of improving processes with data and workflow automation
Ability to function successfully in ambiguous conditions
Well organized, self-starter with the ability to analyze information and support the team
Must be proficient in MS Office and manage large volumes of email correspondence
Ability to understand and solve complex issues and communicate the details to all levels of management
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication and collaboration skills with all levels of management
Strong organizational skills including the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet frequent deadlines
Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong judgment and decision-making capability
Highly resourceful and collaborative team-player, with the ability to also be independently effective and exude initiative and a sense of urgency
