Responsibilities
Plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems and applications
Partner with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements
May plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements
Design details of automated systems
May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business, systems, or application issues
Qualification
Required
Strong legacy mainframe background
Writing of functional requirements
Researching application functionality
Recommending development solutions to a third-party development team
Knowledge and previous experience utilizing COBOL
Knowledge and previous experience utilizing Easytrieve
Knowledge and previous experience utilizing IMS
Knowledge and previous experience utilizing VSAM
Knowledge and previous experience utilizing JCL
Knowledge and previous experience utilizing SQL
Knowledge and previous experience utilizing DB2
Overseeing development activities
Reviewing test results by a third-party vendor
Conducting UAT with the business
Recommending implementation strategies
Planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems and applications
Partnering with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements
