Responsibilities

Contribute to design and development of eDrive architecture by understanding system requirements and subsystem requirements related to the inverter/ eMotor system from both external and internal sources
Perform inverter/ eMotor system requirements analysis and support modeling to define the optimum inverter/ eMotor system design
Carry out competitor analysis (benchmarking) of different inverter/ eMotor system solutions in the transportation market
Learn about Engineering principals and Magna culture and apply classroom knowledge to a practical, real life application
Be an active contributor to the eDS group to advance the progress of Magna’s electrified products
Advance the knowledge of the automotive industry, specifically electrified powertrains, and driveline components
Learn about the detailed design and development of inverter/ eMotor system technologies for eDrive applications

Required

Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
Enrolled in an engineering program with an accredited school
Preferably working towards or has a Master of Science in the field of electrical engineering
Some level of analytical ability and understanding of engineering theory and principles of design
Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced, team environment and perform assigned tasks related to the electrification of automobiles
Fundamental understanding of energy conversion principles, as well as the operation of DC-DC and DC-AC converters, including PWM techniques
Preferably have a good understanding of electromagnetic principles
Basic understanding of MATLAB and Python preferred
