NEOGOV is seeking a Part-Time Library Page to support the City of Deer Park's library operations. The role involves maintaining the library collection, shelving materials, assisting patrons, and performing closing routines.

Responsibilities

Shelve incoming Library materials (books, periodicals, audio books, DVDs); read shelves; straighten books on shelves; assist at Front Desk as needed; clear tables at closing time, turn off computers, perform closing routine
Check in items, assist patrons with library card applications, assist with programs and appear in costume as library mascot for short periods of time as needed

Qualification

Library experienceCustomer service skillsProficient computer skillsWindows Operating SystemMicrosoft Office

Required

High school education
High school student acceptable
Proficient computer skills using Windows and Microsoft Office
Must demonstrate excellent customer/public service skills
Ability to work with people of diverse ages and backgrounds
Ability to deal with public in a pleasant manner
Take messages accurately
Handle cash
This position requires evening and weekend shifts
