Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains course outlines and objectives, instructs and evaluates students, and reports progress
Participates in the assessment process
When appropriate, cooperates with the program director in periodic review and revision of course materials
Maintains appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development
Is knowledgeable of program goals and understands the clinical objectives and clinical evaluation system
Understands the sequencing of didactic instruction and clinical education
Provides students with clinical instruction and supervision
Evaluates students’ clinical competence
Maintains competency in the professional discipline and instructional and evaluative techniques through continuing professional development
Maintains current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress
Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction
Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes
Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community
Qualification
Required
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare provider certification
Three (3) years documented recent full-time Radiography experience
Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline
Preferred
Successful college teaching experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction
