Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of in-situ instruments slated to fly on multiple upcoming sounding rocket missions and small satellites, and/or to the development of ground-based remote sensing instrumentation
Analyze and interpret data collected from in-situ observations, ground based remote-sensing observations and collaborate with other scientists working on the various projects
Operate, maintain, and conduct experiments in a plasma chamber. Specifically, as it relates to spacecraft charging and flight instrument characterization
Help manage and task undergraduate students for engineering projects, as well as collaborate with other researchers in the Center for Space and Atmospheric Research
Present results at relevant conferences and aid in the writing of peer-reviewed literature

Required

Master of Science in Engineering, Physics, or a related field with 2+ years of experience
Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Experience in the design and use of either in-situ instrumentation or ground based remote sensing instrumentation
Programming skills in C
Programming skills in Matlab/Python/Julia
