Mammography Technologist Intern - FT - Evenings - MHW
Memorial Healthcare System is a healthcare provider dedicated to patient safety and quality service. The Mammography Technologist Intern will perform various imaging procedures and ensure adherence to standards of practice while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice
Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate
Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s)
Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images
Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate
Reviews patient history and physician's orders
Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation
Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department
Prepares equipment and supplies
Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary
Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes

Required
Accredited Program: Radiology (Required)
ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
Must possess an active Radiography Certificate from the State of Florida and must take the ARRT(R) examination
Candidate must obtain (M) Certification within 1 year if hired to support Women Imaging
Candidate must be flexible to travel to all MHS Women's Imaging Centers
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
No prior work experience required
