Responsibilities
Conduct initial nursing assessments for new admissions
Administer medications in accordance with treatment protocols
Utilize and document COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) and CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol) as needed
Monitor and document client progress
Educate clients on prescribed medications
Coordinate and support medical providers during assessments and medication management appointments
Respond to medical emergencies following established protocols
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
1 year of experience in acute care or outpatient settings
Preferred
Experience in a behavioral health treatment setting
Background in substance use treatment and co-occurring disorders
