Responsibilities
Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end cloud solutions integrating AWS HDA and Databricks Lakehouse
Ensure all architectures adhere to FedRAMP High, HIPAA, and FDA compliance standards
Define strategies for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and governance using AWS services and Databricks
Develop scalable, high-performance architectures with emphasis on monitoring, performance tuning, and automation
Recommend and implement cost-efficient solutions across AWS and Databricks environments
Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and security teams to align architectures with enterprise data strategy
Stay ahead of industry trends in healthcare data standards (FHIR, OMOP, HL7) and cloud-native design patterns
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Solutions Architect
7+ years of experience in cloud solution architecture, with a primary focus on AWS and data platforms
Hands-on expertise with Databricks Lakehouse design, configuration, and optimization
Strong background in healthcare data standards (FHIR, OMOP, HL7)
Proven track record delivering secure and compliant healthcare or government cloud solutions
AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, Lake Formation, IAM
Databricks: Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, structured streaming
Security & compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR Part 11
Experience in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps/CI-CD practices
Preferred
Experience in multi-cloud integration or hybrid architectures
Familiarity with modern data mesh / data fabric approaches
Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in an Agile environment
