CLEANWELL® Methods Engineer

Vallourec - North America is seeking a CLEANWELL Methods Engineer to enhance operational efficiency and support product industrialization. The role involves developing training programs, leading continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting processes, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating on equipment maintenance and upgrades.

Oil & Energy

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver training programs for operators on plating procedures, equipment handling, and quality standards to ensure safe and consistent operations
Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen projects to identify and implement improvements in productivity, cost reduction, and process reliability
Investigate process deviations, quality defects, or equipment issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan preventive maintenance, evaluate new technologies, and support equipment upgrades
Support the enforcement of safety protocols to ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to chemical handling, waste disposal, and ventilation systems
Support the transition of new products from R&D to full-scale production by developing robust processes, validating performance, and ensuring manufacturability
Compare local processes with those of CLEANWELL® lines in France (and potentially Brazil and Indonesia in the future) to identify best practices, align standards, and drive global process harmonization

Required

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent degree or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Degree)
Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
The position requires the use of a full-face respirator for certain operations. A clean shaved face is required when wearing said respirator as needed

Preferred

Experience in electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic systems preferred
PLC programming and troubleshooting / Automation experience / robotic experience preferred
Knowledgeable of Lean Manufacturing principles
