Hearst Television is seeking an experienced digital news leader who understands how to connect national news to a local audience in a meaningful way. As Digital Content Manager, National News, you'll collaborate with our team of talented journalists to strengthen storytelling and grow our digital reach using data to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and empower a national digital team, fostering collaboration while stepping in hands-on to execute when needed

Build a strong, supportive culture grounded in optimism, empathy and accountability for excellence

Guide teams through industry change with confidence—building trust, maintaining momentum and driving results through transition

Communicate with precision and structure, ensuring clear plans, aligned priorities and effective coordination across teams

Use analytics and performance data to shape editorial strategy, strengthen coverage and grow audience engagement

Combine creative vision with execution, innovating new approaches to national storytelling and digital growth

Required

5 years of experience in a professional newsroom

At least 2 years experience leading a team of journalists

This is an in-office position located at our station in Pittsburgh, PA

Flexibility to work different shifts (including overnights, nights and weekends), holidays on short notice to cover a 24-hour news cycle

Related military experience will be considered

In-person attendance is required
