Amphenol Communications Solutions is a leader in interconnect solutions for various electronic markets. They are seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer Intern to support mechanical testing and analysis of electrical connectors, as well as assist in the development of testing fixtures.

HardwareManufacturing

Responsibilities

Support the product design effort in mechanical analysis such as tolerance analysis, FEA, materials analysis, failure analysis, and creating test plans

Machining and fixture design

Work closely with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel

Supporting the development and validation of product prototypes

Interfacing with customers and other engineering disciplines in the design and manufacturing process of interconnect products

Qualification

Pro-ESolidworksFinite Element AnalysisMachiningFixture designTeamworkCommunication

Required

At least a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Materials Engineering programs

Proficiency in Pro-E or Solidworks

Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical people

Ability to work in team environment

Preferred

Experience with machining and fixture design

Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools
