VP Business Banking Relationship Manager

Responsibilities
Develops and manages business relationships. Learns the unique needs of customers and provides appropriate financial solutions to fit individual circumstances and resolve issues
Drives loan production and deposit growth by proactively identifying opportunities and cross-selling Bank products and services
Identifies, pursues, and closes sales opportunities for a broad range of financial products and services
Collaborates with internal teams to ensure smooth transaction processing and client satisfaction
Represents the Bank in the community through active participation in professional organizations and community events
Mentors team, providing guidance on relationship development and credit fundamentals
Collaborate with Business Banking leadership to contribute to market strategy, portfolio performance, and competitive positioning
Engage in continuous portfolio optimization by regularly reviewing client performance, credit quality, and market conditions, while proactively managing risk exposure to ensure balanced growth profitability and regulatory compliance

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or job-related field, or commensurate work experience
5+ years of experience in business banking sales and client relations, or related sales and relationship management experience in a banking or financial environment
3+ years of experience in credit analysis and risk assessment, or related experience in a financial institution
NMLS, or successful completion of NMLS process within 30 days of hire
Advanced knowledge of the business banking market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment
Comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's products and services
General knowledge of financial products and services for business clients
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to present financial information accurately
Ability to utilize discretion and sound judgment in decision making
Ability to build strong relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Ability to demonstrate initiative to meet sales goals and drive growth and innovation
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, including the ability to work with all levels of management
Ability to demonstrate effective strategic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to demonstrate effective analytical skills with the ability to assess loan risks and make sound financial decisions
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of integrity and commitment to uphold the Bank's values, culture, and reputation
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while working with exacting deadlines and shifting demands, unforeseen events, and changing priorities
Ability to travel overnight, as needed
Skill in banking systems and software
Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred
1+ years of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others
