The Senior Manager of Development will manage fundraising initiatives, cultivate donor relationships, and execute development strategies to secure philanthropic support for the Foundation's mission.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Develop and execute fundraising plans, including strategies for securing support from corporations, foundations, and individuals to fund programs and services

Collaborate with Foundation leadership, development team members, program leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of fundraising efforts and donor engagement

Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with new and existing donors through personalized communication, events, and recognition programs

Engage in planning, managing, and executing fundraising events

Help prepare and submit grant proposals, partnership proposals, and stewardship reports to foundations, corporations, and individuals

Manage key funder data and reporting, maintain donor databases, and ensure the accuracy of financial records and reports. Help prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders

Support communication efforts, including impact reporting, annual program reports, and donor-specific communications

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field

Minimum of 7 years of experience in fundraising, development, or sales

Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) credential

Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts and grants or sales contracts

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization

Comfortable working in a cross-matrixed system

Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality

Strong EQ and maturity

Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software and comfortable learning additional software and system tools as needed

Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience working with public-private partnerships

Strong knowledge of fundraising databases (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge)
