Weld Technician II - Additive Weld
Relativity Space is building rockets to meet today's launch capacity needs and advance future innovations. The Weld Technician II will be responsible for producing high-quality welds for additive manufacturing processes and collaborating with various teams to optimize welding operations.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate both hands on and theoretical understanding of arc welding processes to produce high quality welds for Wire Directed Energy Deposition (Wire-DED, W-DED); Additive Manufacturing (AM)
Independently monitor welding and change consumables
Understand and operate mechanized or robotic welding equipment
Collaborate with multiple teams from design, robotics, materials, NDE, and operations using verbal and written communications
Qualification
Required
3+ years of welding industry experience
Technical and theoretical experience with GMAW
Diagnose weld defects and suggest corrective actions for both repair and process optimization
Capable of using metal working tools including 3-axis mills, lathes, manual GTAW, GMAW welding
Ability to perform first pass diagnostics and identification of issues with robotic welding systems
Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
Preferred
Robotic Welding experience
Experience with Fronius Welding Power Supplies
