The role involves architecting and building tools for Site Reliability Engineering, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and managing production incidents to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Work across Container products and Secrets products, across Public and Private Cloud, as well as Cloud native specific products

Architect and build tools and platforms that provide capabilities for SRE

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and partners across Engineering and Operations as well as partner teams within the wider Citi organization

Actively own production level incidents and mitigate to resolution

Embed into platform engineering teams to support and further optimize platforms and related applications on a rotating basis

Help organize, secure, and automate existing infrastructure and deployments

Develop new capabilities, while coordinating implementations across a large number of teams including infrastructure, developer tools and Information Security

Adapt existing capabilities to the team's specific circumstances, technology stack and business requirements as needed

Collaborate with developers to provide feedback and drive operational improvements within our products and operations infrastructure

Engage in training and mentoring to help develop other engineers through the SRE mindset

Required

6+ years' experience in SRE with experience around Apps Development and/or Systems Analysis working with most or all of the technologies and experience detailed below

4+ years' experience in Python (highly preferred) or Java on large scale systems alongside Linux based scripting languages

Prior experience working towards SLIs, SLOs and observability capabilities at a large scale

Experience with Public Cloud technologies i.e. AWS, GCP, or Azure

Experience with Secrets products such as HashiCorp Vault or CyberArk

Experience of Kubernetes/k8s and container technologies such as Docker, OpenShift and EKS

Hands-on experience working on observability, logging and metrics toolsets

Expert proficiency in navigating large, complex enterprises/organizations

Ability to work effectively under pressure in alignment to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related degree or equivalent relevant experience required

Preferred

Experience working in CISO/Cybersecurity or Technology Security led organizations is preferred

Experience in GenAI or supporting GenAI platforms is a big plus

Any industry and/or technology related certifications are a plus
