Responsibilities

Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations
Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods, and policies
Determines skills, materials, and equipment required to do the work
Assigns tasks to be performed
Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures
Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and helps with difficult or new problem areas
Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies
Schedules and approves subordinates' leave
Sets performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals
Performs non-supervisory work of the function as needed
Implements safety regulatory requirements
Ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions

Required

Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members
Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume
Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt
Must possess a minimum of AFSC 2T271, Air Transportation, to meet minimum qualification requirements
May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial and one-year supervisory probation period
Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of equipment and practices associated with the type of work to be done
Must possess experience or training performing a full variety of Air Transportation functions necessary to manage the day-to-day Air Transportation and small air terminal operations including but not limited to, airdrop and airdrop inspections, rigging responsibilities, wing deployment training, passenger and cargo manifesting, Joint Inspection, load planning, determining cargo/passenger eligibility, establishing and maintaining air terminal security, directly responsible for safe and efficient loading/offloading of all DOD-owned and controlled aircraft and ensuring In-Transit Visibility (ITV)
In addition to the above knowledge, you must possess experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel
Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines
Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function
Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes
Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations
Must possess a valid state's driver's license
