Grand Forks Staff Associate I
Young Life is a Christian organization focused on evangelism and discipleship, seeking a dynamic individual to help the Grand Forks chapter flourish. The Staff Associate I will be responsible for leading and training volunteers, planning and executing ministry events, and developing financial strategies to support the organization's goals.

Responsibilities
Supervises, leads, trains, and collaborates with staff and volunteers who serve as team leaders
Inspires and casts vision, inviting new volunteer leaders and committee members into the ministry and helping them take ownership
Implements a training program to develop volunteers and equip them to serve students effectively
Plans and executes programmatic events such as Bible studies, outreach gatherings, and leader meetings (often in the evenings)
Executes a camp strategy that maximizes students’ opportunities to respond to the Christian faith, including weeklong summer camping and weekend trips
Helps grow and direct Young Life College volunteers into involvement with Young Life and WyldLife
Understands and practices 'relational ministry' — earning the right to be heard in the community
Implements the area’s financial strategy to achieve budgetary goals through personal fundraising, events, and local donations
Develops and executes a communication plan to reach parents, students, leaders, school administration, and committee members
Pursues national, divisional, and regional training as assigned
Travels as needed throughout the year, including overnight stays and participation in month-long summer assignments at Young Life properties when assigned
Qualification
Required
Experience supervising and developing people
Proven self-starter who takes initiative
Eager to learn and grow; teachable spirit
Creative and fun in planning events and gatherings
Passionate about Jesus and about reaching teenagers
Willing to work evenings and weekends
Experience in direct ministry
Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred
Young Life experience (staff or volunteer) preferred
College degree preferred
