Wellbeing, Health, & Safety Specialist - Kokomo Area
Stellantis is a leading automotive company seeking a Wellbeing, Health, & Safety Specialist for their Kokomo, Indiana area manufacturing sites. The role focuses on implementing and administering standardized WHS processes to ensure compliance with regulations and improve workplace safety, ultimately aiming to enhance production efficiency and safeguard employee health.

Responsibilities
Implement WHS training programs and training assessments to ensure required training is identified and conducted
Conduct regular audits of WHS processes and necessary follow-up to ensure compliance and advise plant leadership and corporate WHS staff of findings
Analyze injury/illness experience including ergonomics, identify/track injury correlation, determine root causes, implement corrective action and communicate this information to plant leadership and corporate WHS
Support new equipment programs at the concept stage to ensure that WHS design specifications and regulations are included
Manage routine safety reports including data acquisition, documentation, record keeping, monitoring, review, and approval
Coordinate communication of WHS regulatory inspection activity with plant leadership
Lead WHS projects to improve WHS key performance metrics
Support the implementation and maintenance of the plant’s safety management system to meet ISO 45001 and SPW safety requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, Science or related field
Strong understanding of Federal, State, Provincial and Local regulations and requirements
Willingness to work on any shift and additional hours as required
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and / or other software
Preferred
2+ years of Safety, Engineering or similar experience in a Manufacturing environment
Safety related professional certifications (e.g. CSP, CIH)
Master's degree in Safety, Engineering, Science or related field
Automotive or manufacturing experience
