Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering Adjunct

Responsibilities
Teach foundational and applied topics in Robotics and Mechatronic systems
Support classroom and laboratory instruction in areas such as sensors and actuators, industrial automation, robotic kinematics, microcontrollers, PLCs, control systems, and system integration
Deliver hands-on, application-focused learning to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, and engineering technology
May be required to perform other duties as assigned
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Sensors, actuators, and system instrumentation
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Robotics fundamentals, robotic arms, kinematics, and automation
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Mechatronic systems, electromechanical integration
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Microcontrollers, PLCs, embedded systems, or industrial controls
Ability to provide effective classroom and laboratory instruction
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support diverse student populations
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to manage multiple instructional responsibilities and meet established deadlines
Ability to demonstrate best practices in teaching engineering or technical courses in a community college environment
Preferred
Teaching or industry experience in robotics, mechatronics, automation, or related engineering technology fields
CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
