Perplexity is seeking a Quality Assurance Architect to own and shape the quality engineering strategy for their products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing scalable test architectures, driving automation initiatives, and embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Own test architecture, automation frameworks, and CI/CD quality gates across platforms
Drive a test-driven engineering culture through technical leadership and mentorship
Partner with engineering and product to identify risks early and define quality requirements from design through release
Establish quality metrics and KPIs to measure product health and guide improvement
Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to advance testing capabilities

Required

7+ years in software quality, with a focus on test architecture and automation
Proven leadership in building QA strategy and guiding teams in fast-paced environments
Strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems testing
Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Playwright)
Excellent communication skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

Preferred

Experience with AI-powered or data-intensive products is a plus
