Mechanical Coordinator/EIT

Responsibilities
Perform routine HVAC/mechanical and plumbing engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
Work independently on small HVAC/mechanical and plumbing design projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger HVAC/mechanical and plumbing design projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
Coordinate workload to complete the documents on schedule
Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications
Work with HVAC and plumbing vendors to select mechanical and plumbing equipment, systems, and devices
Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
Review mechanical and plumbing documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
Provide construction contract administration as needed
Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
Perform other duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of 'Coordinator' and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
Experience in sustainable design/LEED desired, but not required
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
Recent graduates will be considered
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace3D, or similar software
Project Management experience is a plus
Experience using IESVE Calculation Software
Construction administration experience is a plus
Preference given to local candidates
