Responsibilities

Lead and manage all tax functions for the organization including income, property, sales/use, and other applicable taxes

Oversee preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals

Develop and implement tax planning strategies to support business operations and long-term goals

Provide strategic tax planning and compliance support for estate and succession planning

Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through the use of current tax and accounting technologies (e.g., workflow automation, data analytics tools, dashboards)

Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and filing deadlines

Maintain detailed knowledge of changes in tax regulations and proactively assess their impact

Provide tax guidance and support on business transactions, including entity restructuring, acquisitions, and real estate development activities

Coordinate and manage external tax advisors, consultants, and auditors as needed

Supervise and mentor tax staff, ensuring ongoing development and performance

Work collaboratively with finance, legal, and operations teams on tax-related matters

Support CFO with tax provision and financial reporting implications
