Responsibilities

Teach in the following subject areas: Anatomy and Physiology, Athletic Training, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Fitness, Gerokinesiology, Legal and ethical Issues in Kinesiology, Motor Control and Learning, Recreation and Physical Activity Promotion, Sport and Exercise Psychology, Strength & Conditioning, Teacher Education

Be available on very short notice for temporary appointments from the part-time pool as needed

Qualification

Master's degree in KinesiologyUniversity-level teaching experienceCulturally diverse student interactionAthletic Trainer certificationK through 12 teaching experienceCommitment to equityInclusionRecord of scholarshipCommunication skills

Required

A Master's degree in Kinesiology or related field or equivalent experience

Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level

Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students

K through 12 (Teacher Education) and/or University-level teaching experience in Kinesiology

The ability to communicate effectively and work with a culturally and ethnically diverse student population

Demonstrated ability/potential to provide high-quality undergraduate and graduate education to a diverse student population, including first‐generation and under-represented college students

Record of scholarship in their respective area of specialization

A demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, and/or service

Preferred

Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment

Preference will also be given to those with relevant performance and professional experience

College-level teaching experience in the discipline of Kinesiology

For Athletic Training classes; current Athletic Trainer certification

For Teacher Education classes; K through 12 teaching experience
