Arlington Properties is looking for a Groundskeeper to help keep their community looking its best. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the property grounds, assisting with basic maintenance tasks, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents.

Responsibilities

Regularly inspect and clean property grounds, stairways, and common areas. Remove trash, sweep walkways, rake grounds, and perform other tasks to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained

Assist the Service Manager with basic maintenance tasks, including cleaning, minor repairs, and preparing units for new residents

Inspect the property for safety hazards, such as non-functioning lights, exposed wiring, or broken fences, and report any issues to the Service Manager

Work with the Service Manager to maintain the storage area, requisition supplies, and ensure proper organization

If applicable, assist with basic pool maintenance and ensure the pool area is clean and presentable

Regularly empty trash, transport it to dumpsters, and ensure the dumpster area is kept neat and clean

Assist with snow and ice removal during inclement weather to ensure safe access to walkways and common areas

Provide excellent customer service to residents, ensuring their maintenance concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner

Must have proven ability to successfully work as a team member

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

Position requires good customer service skills

Must be able to work effectively with a team of people

Valid driver's license along with good driving record with auto insurance required

Must be EPA or CFC certifiable

Must be able to work any of the seven days of the week as necessary to get the job done

Medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting to a maximum of 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds

Good eye/hand coordination is essential

Color perception, the ability to differentiate colors in terms of hue, and the ability to identify a particular color or combination from memory is required

Must be able to lift and work heavy equipment and utilize a ladder as required

Preferred

Experience in groundskeeping, cleaning, or basic maintenance is preferred

Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing issues

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents and co-workers

Commitment to following safety procedures and ensuring the safety of the property
