Telecommunications Systems Technician II
The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is seeking a Telecommunications Systems Technician II to join their team in a dynamic environment focused on emergency management and homeland security. The role involves responding to and resolving public safety communications issues for State Agency clients, while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities
Responding to and resolving public safety communications problems for State Agency clients
Functionally report to the assigned shop lead as required
Follow FCC rules and regulations
Utilize office-provided training, complex test equipment, computers, hand tools, the Telecommunications Division Manual (TDM), and technical literature
Communicate effectively on all written and verbal interactions
Interface frequently with customers and co-workers to resolve issues and collaborate
Maintain a professional and team-centered environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Work proficiently with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Travel to and work in remote locations, high elevations, and inclement weather conditions as required
Qualification
Required
Responding to and resolving public safety communications problems for State Agency clients
Following FCC rules and regulations
Utilizing office-provided training, complex test equipment, computers, hand tools, the Telecommunications Division Manual (TDM), and technical literature
Communicating effectively on all written and verbal interactions
Frequently interfacing with customers and co-workers to resolve issues and collaborate
Maintaining a professional and team-centered environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Working proficiently with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Traveling to and working in remote locations, high elevations, and inclement weather conditions
Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required
Possessing a valid California Driver's License (CDL)
Preferred
Ability to interface and interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Good written and oral communication skills
