Responsibilities

Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results
Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
Creates and maintains job elements sheets and standard work sheets
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement
Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams
Leads and supports lean manufacturing initiatives; including, cost reductions and productivity improvements

Required

BS degree from a 4 year college or university in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc) or equivalent experience and demonstrated knowledge of:
Automated assembly experience
Cell layout experience
MS Office experience
BIW product understanding & experience
Sheet metal fabrication and assembly experience
AutoCad experience
Plexus experience
Has high standards of performance for self

Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work
