Responsibilities

Designing, estimating, ordering, tracking, installing, configuring, securing, hardening, remediating, testing, upgrading and decommissioning of data center equipment, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, client workstations and network-attached storage equipment
Application support to program engineers is an essential part of the day-to-day responsibilities that ensures a successful synergy between program deliverables and the underlying IT infrastructure
Responsible for the ongoing operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of multiple classified IT program environments
Ensure that the Space IT systems are managed, controlled and compliant with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Required

Deep expertise in technical leadership, Linux server, Windows server, Storage and network administration

Designing, estimating, ordering, tracking, installing, configuring, securing, hardening, remediating, testing, upgrading and decommissioning of data center equipment, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, client workstations and network-attached storage equipment
Application support to program engineers
Ongoing operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of multiple classified IT program environments
Ensure that the Space IT systems are managed, controlled and compliant with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Ability to work onsite
Ability to work off-shift and occasional weekend activities
Meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Preferred

Bachelors of Science degree from accredited University
Experience with Windows Server user account management, administration and access controls
Systems Administration experience supporting United States Government classified environments
Experience in applying DISA STIGs and resolving security vulnerabilities
Experience administering Microsoft's Windows Server (i.e. 2016, 2019, or 2022) operating system functions, security policies and technical security safeguards
Experience with Scripting and Automation (i.e., Ansible, Perl, Bash, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, etc.)
Fundamental understanding of the OSI model
Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos, LDAP and NTLM and use of necessary tools to troubleshoot them
Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet and SSH
VMware experience (VSphere vCenter, ESXi, KVM)
Demonstrated experience with Cisco switching technology
Experience with network-attached storage or storage area networks
Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification equivalent or higher
VMware Certified Professional certification
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
Experience with audits of key IT components to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Experience with PowerShell scripting
