Responsibilities

Support and enhance large Hadoop and Accumulo clusters running in a high-performance cloud environment

Build, monitor, and tune Linux-based systems for reliability and efficiency

Implement and optimize observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki

Automate deployment and configuration using tools like Ansible, Helm, and ArgoCD

Collaborate with platform and application teams to introduce new open-source technologies and continuously improve system performance and reliability

Required

Experience: 17+ years as a Systems Engineer on projects of comparable scope and complexity

Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or +5 years of SE experience in lieu of degree)

Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level I (or higher)

Clearance: Active TS/SCI with current polygraph

Strong background in Linux systems engineering (CentOS/RHEL preferred)

Hands-on experience with Hadoop and large distributed data platforms

Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and a passion for learning new technologies

Scripting or development experience in Python, Go, or Java (in that order of preference)
