Undergraduate Engineering Internship (Associate in Engineering - Levels I - IV)
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) operates the Nevada National Security Site, focusing on national security through engineering and environmental stewardship. They are seeking Undergraduate Engineering Interns to participate in hands-on projects under supervision, contributing to various engineering tasks and learning about asset reliability and maintenance.

Support research on systems
Perform document reviews and updates
Create Facility Change Requests to implement desired changes to various systems
Day-to-Day activities will center mostly on data collection. Type of data to be gathered will depend on the project/assignment
Redline drawings for mechanical systems for each building
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship is required for all positions
Completion of first year Bachelor's degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), as of the date application is submitted
Completion of first year in a Calculus-based STEM bachelor's degree in engineering, as of the date application is submitted
Must be actively enrolled in school, as of the date application is submitted
Must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, as of the date application is submitted
Must be located in the contiguous United States
Planning/organizing skills and initiative
Good written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of engineering equipment, software, systems, calculations, and applications of engineering methods
Have self-motivating attitude and is open to exploring all areas of engineering
Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong computer skills are desired, including MS Office and computer programming
A pre-placement drug screen is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2
