Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) operates the Nevada National Security Site, focusing on national security experimentation. Responsibilities

Support research on systems
Perform document reviews and updates
Create Facility Change Requests to implement desired changes to various systems
Draft reports on system conditions
Conduct walk-downs of various systems to ensure Configuration Management is properly implemented and to validate design drawings are consistent with physical configuration
Lead development and implementation of engineering design changes
Collaborate with different organizations to ensure facility safety
Interface with multiple engineers across multiple disciplines of engineering
Research chiller systems and components
Review Door system designs and sketches
Learn to read system drawings and sketches
Review System Design Descriptions for compressed air system
Create pneumatic diagrams
Coordinate document reviews and updates
Draft drawing/specification/calculations for engineer use
Generate/update reports and tracking tools and update engineering forms

Required

US Citizenship is required for all positions
Completion of Bachelor's degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical degrees, as of the date application is submitted
Completion of a Calculus-based STEM bachelor's degree in engineering, as of the date application is submitted
Must be actively enrolled in a graduate engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), as of the date application is submitted
Actively enrolled in a Calculus-based STEM graduate program in engineering, as of the date application is submitted
Must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, as of the date application is submitted
Must be located in the contiguous United States
Planning/organizing skills and initiative
Good written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of engineering equipment, software, systems, calculations, and applications of engineering methods
Have self-motivating attitude and is open to exploring all areas of engineering
Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong computer skills are desired, including MS Office and computer programming
A pre-placement drug screen is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.'
