Responsibilities

Responsible for the planning and engineering design of transportation projects for public/governmental agencies, and for conducting transportation analysis and traffic engineering studies

All work to be performed under supervision of licensed engineer

Prepare and oversee preparation of transportation analyses, documentation of results, concept designs, costing and feasibility evaluations in accordance with established engineering standards and policies AASHTO, MUTCD, HCM, and state DOT design manuals

Perform engineering design of roadways, highways, gradings, utility connection, erosion control, and related infrastructure

Create construction documents, including drawings and technical specifications

Design alignments, drainage systems and grading

Produce technical deliverables for highway and transportation engineering projects

Prepare technical documents, traffic control device construction contract documents, public presentations, and proposals

Develop contract documents for temporary traffic control, traffic signalization, signing and pavement marking and roadway lighting including cost estimation and specification preparation

Conduct site visits and field inspections of projects
