Sr. Tax Analyst

nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. The Sr. Tax Analyst will assist in tax reconciliations, prepare and file tax returns, manage customer tax exemptions, and support tax audits for all North America nVent entities.

Responsibilities

Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual sales/use tax reconciliations, preparation, returns & payments for all North America nVent entities
Prepare and file annual property tax returns, Freeport exemptions & other required information for all North America nVent entities
Process & pay property tax assessments and bills for all North America nVent entities
Work daily with internal customer service and/or collection staff to help resolve customer tax questions and issues
Manage and approve customer sales tax exemptions in Vertex software
Work with external consultants on special projects such as reverse audits or software upgrades
Assist in all state and local tax audits
Manage sales tax permit renewals for all North America nVent entities
Assist with tax training for internal groups such as A/P and buyer groups for all North America nVent entities
Assist with special reporting for other state and local misc. projects for all North America nVent entities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or strong related work experience
Ideally, experience working for a manufacturing company
Knowledge of sales/use tax in US & Canada
Knowledge of property tax processes in US & Canada
Working knowledge of Vertex tax software is a plus
Knowledge of Oracle, JD Edwards, Infor M3, Epicor and/or Esker is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functional and organizational teams
Ability to self-start, prioritize and organize competing requests
Strong analytic and problem solving skills with attention to detail
