Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop Platform Engineers, DevOps, and DataOps professionals across global locations
Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to enable consistent, automated deployments
Collaborate with architecture and product teams to translate design specifications into executable engineering plans
Manage environment readiness and release processes across development, staging, and production environments
Establish, monitor, and report on operational SLAs, uptime metrics, and performance indicators
Ensure platform security, compliance, and integration with enterprise identity and access management (IAM) frameworks
Oversee patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management for open-source components such as Spark, Trino, Airflow, NiFi, and Ranger
Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement
Maintain detailed technical documentation, support audit readiness, and participate in architecture review processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8–12 years of experience in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, including 3+ years in a management role
Proven experience designing and supporting large-scale, cloud or hybrid-cloud infrastructure environments
Demonstrated success leading distributed or global engineering teams
Strong understanding of enterprise deployment, automation, monitoring, and operational best practices
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills
Infrastructure & Automation: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes (K8s), OpenShift (OCP), Vault, Ansible
Platform Components: Spark, Trino, Airflow, NiFi, Ranger, Iceberg, DataHub
Security & Networking: IAM, SSO, RBAC, Kerberos, firewall configuration, secure network segmentation
Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk
Languages & Operating Systems: Linux, Bash, Python, YAML, Go
Process & Methodologies: Agile/Scrum, DevOps, ITIL change management
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience with Java or Scala
