The role involves designing and developing software for generator control switchgear HMI applications, configuring and testing HMI hardware, and collaborating with Power System Engineers for validation.
Responsibilities
Design & Development: Designing, writing, converting, and implementing software for generator control switchgear HMI applications
Hardware Configuration: Configuring, programming, and testing HMI hardware
Collaboration & Validation: Working with Power System Engineers to test and validate HMI programming
Support: Troubleshooting and providing remote support for HMI issues in the field and during installation
Project Execution: Assisting in following an electrical design schedule to meet overall project deadlines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical preferred), Computer Science, or a related field
A 2-year degree with 4+ years of relevant experience will be considered
0-2 years of experience; relevant internships will be counted
Candidates with a Master's degree or higher are explicitly not being considered for this entry-level role
Direct experience with any of the following HMI/SCADA software is required: Factory Talk, RSView, Vijeo, Crimson, Kepware, EcoStruxure Machine Scada Expert
Problem-Solving: Uses a structured approach to analyze and resolve technical problems
Proactive Learning: Seeks opportunities for continual learning and technical growth
Adaptability & Time Management: Handles changing priorities and can manage 3-4 concurrent tasks effectively
