Responsible for the research, development, design, and execution of experiments that contribute to research project strategies

Evaluates conclusions and has considerable latitude to modify or devise methods or techniques to achieve desired results

Acts as key writer of major portions of scientific articles

Supervises and trains Research Assistants, Research Associates, Postdoctoral Fellows, similar positions, and administrative support staff

Performs the role of Operations Manager/Operations Supervisor

May be responsible for a major portion of a complex project from start to finish

Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols, quantitative analysis, and displays of data for presentation

Maintains collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working group’s achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment

Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control
