In this role, you will work on innovative projects that will shape the future of our built environment, leading an architectural/engineering team in designing for a variety of project typologies with a focus on transportation and civic projects.

Responsibilities
Determine collectively with multiple design disciplines, the technical approach and design criteria for projects
Work with staff as the architectural lead in a team
Develop and/or oversee the development of design details, plans and specifications
Use computer software as a design tool for solving complex architectural problems
Contribute new designs, or techniques that are of material significance in the solution of important problems
Remain current in codes and technologies appropriate to the architecture discipline including IBC, NFPA, etc
Ensure conformance with standards, established architectural practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction
Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
Qualification
Required
Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch preferred)
Current California licensure required
A minimum of 12 years of experience as an Architectural Designer
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite are required
Excellent design, technical detailing, and strong presentation skills, both verbal and visual, are essential
The candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for problem-solving
An understanding that project success comes through teamwork
A firm focus on client needs
Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
Preferred
Transit experience a plus
Experience in Rhino, 3-D Max, Sketch-up is a plus
LEED Accreditation is also a plus
