Laboratory Support Technician - Part Time

The Laboratory Support Technician is responsible for supporting various laboratory functions, conducting routine procedures independently, and ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
Demonstrates and supports GEL’s core values
Conducts basic procedures that support other operations in the laboratory
Prepares lab ware for procedures
Prepares containers for sampling with proper preservation and shipping protocols
Performs login, sample management and disposal operations
Performs standard operating procedures (e.g. aliquoting and digestions)
Performs data entry activities
Operates basic laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Follows written and verbal instructions
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Good organizational skills
Good verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and teamwork are key
Preferred
Prior laboratory related experience is a plus but not a requirement
