Senior LevelThe City of San José is recruiting for a Senior Systems Applications Programmer with a focus on financial applications in the Information Technology Department. This position will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, upgrading, and maintaining multiple finance applications.

Responsibilities
Responsible for citywide customer supporting, enhancing, upgrading and daily maintaining on multiple finance applications such as Finance Management System, Revenue Collection System, and Finance Reporting System
Provide application development, maintenance, and support for the City’s Enterprise Finance Management and Reporting System and Revenue Collection System
Resolve complex technical issues
Work with customers and vendors
Create comprehensive finance reports in a timely manner
Qualification
Required
Strong technical hands-on experience and problem-solving skills
Ability to take initiative and work with customers and vendors
Willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment with a focus on customer service excellence
Experience supporting an enterprise-level Finance Management System (FMS)
Experience supporting a Revenue Collection System
Solid functional and in-depth technical knowledge of key system processes: month-end cycle, procure to pay process, and cash and revenue collection
Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues
Ability to create comprehensive finance reports in a timely manner
Teamwork and a positive attitude
