GRANT-FUNDED OFFICE ASSISTANT - THECB POOL
Del Mar College is a community college providing educational services, and they are seeking a Grant-Funded Office Assistant to support staff, instructors, and students. The role involves clerical duties related to the TRUE grant funded program, including ordering supplies, tracking student data, and assisting students with applications.
Responsibilities
Provides clerical support duties to meet the requirements of the grant to include ordering, creating, and pursuing the purchase of all grant supplies and equipment. Supporting Career Navigator with reports and tracking of student data
Work collaboratively and professionally college wide and within the Continuing Education department to meet the requirements of the grant
All other clerical supportive duties including answering phones, greeting students, and supporting the department
Assist students in completing basic grant applications and Del Mar College forms
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Six (6) months office/clerical related experience
Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy maintaining records
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff and public
Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision to handle multiple tasks, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality
Ability to work professionally with non-traditional and diverse populations
Preferred
Associate's degree
Higher education experience
Experience with Datatel and WebDMC
