The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Civil Design Engineer for a role with North America's largest recycler. The position involves working closely with various business units to ensure project success while promoting safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Work closely with all business units including estimating, sales, detailing, project management, finance, production and shipping to ensure the complete success of each project

Create strong relationships within our client's team as well as with their customers to deliver on project directives

Review contract documents and note important information

Effectively communicate unique design requirements to detailing department

Utilize design software to safely and accurately design structures

Build both internal and external industry relationships in the Northeast civil engineering market to keep up with trends and best practices

Travel to job sites to better understand the build process

Qualification

Civil/Structural EngineeringFundamental of Engineering (FE) ExamDesign Software ProficiencyContract Document ReviewEffective CommunicationRelationship Building

Required

BS in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited program

Pass Result on Fundamental of Engineering (FE) Exam or ability to pass before starting employment (they will pay for it as part of the role!)

2+ years of professional Civil or Structural engineering experience

Professional experience reviewing contract documents and noting important information

Effectively communicating unique design requirements to detailing department

Utilizing our client's design software to safely and accurately design structures

Have a drive to build both internal and external industry relationships in the Northeast civil engineering market to keep up with trends and best practices

Ability to travel to job sites to better understand the build process
