Sr. System Development Engineer, AWS Cross Domain Services
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer for their Cross Domain Services team, focused on operational excellence and supporting the movement of data between AWS regions with differing security requirements. The role involves leveraging cloud technologies, improving service availability, and automating complex systems to support U.S. Government agencies.

Responsibilities
Shape the development of infrastructure foundational services
Write tools and services to improve automation for deployment and releases
Build and maintain test fleets
Perform functional and regression testing on software
Define and perform stress testing
Monitor production software
Build on existing services and architectures
Create new automated solutions
Dive deep into issues and then reinvent systems, processes, and tools as needed to drive continuous improvement for our customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
5+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
4+ years of experience with systems development deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment
4+ years of experience with the designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems to include software development, operations, automation, and process improvement
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred
5+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers
Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production
