Responsibilities

Own government post-award execution: interpret federal and state requirements, coordinate certifications and reporting, and provide practical guidance to business and compliance partners
Lead advocacy on USF and funding policy: draft comments, reply comments, ex partes, and briefing materials on USF modernization, including Lifeline, E-Rate, Rural Healthcare, High-Cost and 5G Fund; translate proposals into actionable guidance
Guide grant administration and audit readiness: translate complex regulatory programs and rules into internal controls for federal and state grants; partner with our compliance team to manage outside counsel and consultants
Analyze internal economics and business cases; reflect insights into filings and cross-functional recommendations
Support accessibility matters, including applicable FCC rules and related compliance
Coordinate with FCC staff, USAC, NTIA, Treasury, and state broadband offices; prepare executives for meetings and presentations
Collaborate across Legal, Government Affairs, Network, Finance, and Operations to ensure filings and communications accurately represent our technology and services. Maintain trackers and executive updates on deadlines, risks, and opportunities

Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
7-10 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on federal telecommunications law, FCC regulatory work, or public policy
Direct experience interacting with the FCC or other government agencies with an understanding of federal or state broadband programs and Universal Service mechanisms preferred
Excellent analytical, writing, research skills, and public advocacy—able to translate regulatory complexity into business-relevant insights
Excellent judgment, communication, and executive-briefing skills with proven success participating in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
