Clinical Lab Scientist II, Microbiology - FT - Day

Responsibilities
Performing routine laboratory tests
Operating and maintaining test equipment
Performing and documenting QC
Training of non-laboratory testing personnel
Recognizing and responding to problems
Verifying and reporting test results
General support functions necessary for the routine operation of the laboratory
Performing all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the developmental issues of the patient population(s) being served
Qualification
Required
Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited license appropriate for the area of responsibility
Baccalaureate Degree in a biological science, chemistry, medical technology, or related science
One year of clinical laboratory experience in any clinical lab area is acceptable
Preferred
Two years of clinical laboratory experience in any clinical lab area is preferred
