Responsibilities
Support architecture, analysis, and trade studies
Work closely with Systems Engineers to design and document verifiable software solutions that meet mission requirements
Develop software features and capabilities with a strong compliant with the program’s Software Development Plan and industry best practices
Write and maintain unit tests, and assist I&T with installation, smoke tests, and development of feature-level verification test procedures
Actively participate in the peer review process – both as a developer and a reviewer
Implement DR fixes and targeted refactoring to maintain the operability and technical performance of the software baseline
Support Software CM with branching / pull requests, baseline management, release notes, and VDDs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 14+ years of relative experience; master's degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of relative experience. 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility at time of application
Must be willing to submit and pass a CI Poly after starting work
Strong Java programming proficiency
Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Mongo, etc.)
Software design experience (UML preferred)
Understanding of Agile development and Scrum practices, including familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools
Hand-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservice architecture
Preferred
Proficiency in Python development
Experience with Spring Framework (SpringBoot, SprintMVC)
Front-end GUI design and development experience (NodeJS, React, Vue)
Experience with identity and access management (Keycloak)
DevOps and advanced Software configuration management tools and techniques to ensure standards are met
