LSA is a diversified environmental, transportation, and community planning organization. They are seeking an Assistant Transportation Planner/Engineer who is familiar with transportation planning and traffic engineering fundamentals, and will be responsible for conducting research and technical analysis, as well as conveying technical information through report writing.

Required

Familiarity with the fundamentals of transportation planning
Familiarity with traffic engineering
Familiarity with elements of the Highway Capacity Manual level of service/delay analyses
Experience in the four step traffic assignment process
Experience in research and technical analysis
Experience with intersection level of service software (e.g., Synchro, Vistro, Traffix)
Experience with microsimulation software (e.g., SimTraffic, VisSim, TransModeler)
Ability to convey technical information through report writing
Excellent written communication skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in transportation planning, traffic engineering, urban planning, or a related field

Preferred

Familiarity with traffic operations software (e.g., Synchro, Vistro, Traffix)
Familiarity with geographic information system (GIS) applications
Research of transportation, land use, and environmental topics
Experience with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel)
Experience with modern travel model software (e.g., TransCAD, Visum, Cube/Voyager)
