Associate Mechanical Engineer
Metalock USA is a leader in on-site industrial equipment repair, specializing in various repair solutions. As an Associate Engineer, you will provide on-site engineering support, assess equipment damage, and oversee repair processes while traveling to client sites.

Responsibilities
Conduct on-site assessments of damaged equipment, identifying the extent of repairs needed
Develop detailed repair plans, including material specifications, drawings, and procedures
Prepare detailed technical support, repair proposals, and cost estimates for clients
Supervise in-situ machining and repair work, using specialized tools and techniques
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and field technicians
Ensure all repairs meet Metalock's high-quality standards and adhere to safety regulations
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service
Travel regularly to various client sites, sometimes on short notice
Provide technical support to clients, answering questions and offering solutions
Maintain and care for company-provided tools and equipment
Pursue improvements in work flow and facilities
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Experience with on-site repairs
Problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills
Ability to travel extensively and work independently in industrial environments
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
Ability to commute to Denham Springs, LA 70726
Ability to relocate to Denham Springs, LA 70726 before starting work
Willingness to travel 50%
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience with field engineering, preferably in industrial maintenance or repair environment
Experience with CAD and FEA
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including stress analysis, machining, welding, and metallurgy
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
