CAD Design & Applications Solution Support Engineer – Mechanical
R.C. Systems LLC is a global leader in high-pressure water mist fire protection. The CAD Design & Applications Solution Support Engineer – Mechanical will support channel partners and end users with design and technical support for Marioff HI-FOG water mist systems, including creating system designs and preparing technical proposals.

Responsibilities
To provide design solutions for sales phase inquiries using our estimation software and other means through review of customer’s drawings, specifications, plans, and other customer related documents
To provide technical support and technical proposals for our channel partners in close co-operation with North America Sales Team
Provide approved and engineered solutions to our key customers, channel partners, engineers, and regional sales managers for various applications in a timely manner
To create HI-FOG system designs using Autodesk AutoCad to include piping isometrics, P&IDs, general equipment diagrams
To prepare Hydraulic Calculations to dimension HI-FOG systems correctly
Review and comment on customer’s drawings and calculations for completeness, format, and compliance with customer requirements
Monitor the status of projects to ensure design progress and documentation is submitted according to project schedule
Must present and discuss current project status at weekly meetings
Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks concurrently
Qualification
Required
Experience with AutoCAD (LT, MEP) and ability to make technical designs
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to acquire answers utilizing various channels to develop data necessary for various projects with and without direction
Good team working skills and self starter
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Projects, Power Point, etc) applications
Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Fire Protection, Fire Science a plus, or equivalent experience
Must be physically able to perform some travel to support our channel partners, perform pre-design site visits, and to verify proper commissioning of our systems, when needed
Due to contractual agreements, must be a US citizen, green card holder, or permanent resident
Preferred
Autodesk Revit and BIM capabilities
Experience in the field of fire protection, construction engineering (building services), Mechanical and/or fluid power engineering
Experience with water mist system design a plus
Previous experience with pressure drop and flow calculation programs desirable
Strong technical and communication skills
NICET certification beneficial, but not required
Knowledge of sprinkler fire protection design practices and technical experience a plus, or an equivalent combination thereof
Knowledge of or ability to work with NFPA standards (specifically NFPA 13, 20, 25, 750, etc.) is highly desirable
