They are looking for a student experienced in basic laboratory experimentation to support New Development projects for the Home and Personal Care Business Unit markets, providing valuable hands-on experience in formulation and testing.

Responsibilities
Work alongside a senior scientist to develop novel base formulations for long-lasting hard surface cleaning, with a focus on biodegradability and the creation of microplastics-free products for our portfolio
Formulation preparation and application testing of treated test substrates (polymeric, stainless steel or ceramic) for assay of cleaning performance and film appearance according to standardized protocols
Plan and execute experiments, stability tests, setting milestones, driving projects to completion and creating charts and tables that clearly represent the outcomes
Periodically summarize results in technical reports and discuss conclusions with the project team
Housekeeping
Understand and follow key Syensqo safety policies and procedures for the site, including but not limited to the following: Emergency response / Crisis management / evacuation guidelines. Know the location of first aid and emergency response equipment, chemicals, and chemical documentation
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a BS program in Chemistry or related field
Interest in laboratory work
Proactivity, autonomy and open-mindedness
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work on several projects
Good PC and computer skills and use of appropriate software
Preferred
Experience in formulation of home / personal care products
