Structures Intern
REGENT is on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation with their innovative seaglider vehicles. As a Structures Intern, you will support the design and development of structural components for these vehicles, gaining hands-on experience in composite design and engineering workflows.

Responsibilities
Support the design and development of primary and secondary composite structures
Create and modify CAD models and engineering drawings for structural components and assemblies
Assist with finite element analysis (FEA) for component- and assembly-level stress evaluations
Apply design-for-manufacturing principles to support efficient composite fabrication and assembly
Assist with builds, material testing, and inspection tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Strong understanding of core engineering and structural mechanics principles
Familiarity with CAD tools (NX preferred, SolidWorks)
Willingness to learn composite design and FEA fundamentals
Preferred
Coursework in composite materials, laminate theory, or structural analysis
Experience with finite element analysis (e.g., NX Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus)
Prior internship, research, or hands-on project work in composites
Exposure to Visual Basic (VB) or scripting tools
Hands-on experience with composite fabrication, lay-up, curing, or tooling
